As patients begin using their smartphones to diagnose, test and monitor themselves, the role of doctors will change. In this National Post article, Will Falk, managing partner of PWC Canada's Health Industry Practice and Dylan Marando, PhD student at the University of Toronto, write that doctors will have to reinvent themselves and become "facilitators and coaches, trusted prescribers and translators of information, independent advisors of appropriateness."
