The 2014 Ontario Child Health Study will look at the physical and mental health of Ontario children and youth aged 4-17. In partnership with three Ontario ministries, the Offord Centre for Child Studies will examine several areas of child and youth health and how they've changed since the last study in 1983. The study will:
- compare patterns and levels of mental disorder
- find out if levels of disorder are linked to family income and poverty
- find out if children and families are receiving needed services
- identify how to reduce the risk for children's mental health problems.
