Kids need nature to offset screen time and improve mental health

Years ago, Richard Louv created the term "nature-deficit disorder" which is what happens when kids spend too much time indoors and not enough time in nature. In this CBC story, Louv says evidence shows that a lack of time in nature has contributed to rising rates of depression, attention deficit disorder and other health problems.
