More girls self-harming, hospital admissions double​

Over the past five years, 7,373 Canadian girls were admitted to hospitals for self-inflicted injuries. That's four times the number of boys. The data was gathered from medical facilities across the country and released by the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Institute manager, Juliana Wu, says more girls are using physical pain to deal with mental and emotional distress. You can read more in this Globe and Mail article.
