STOP with AHACs’

The STOP Program is a province-wide initiative that delivers smoking cessation treatment and counseling support to eligible Ontario smokers who wish to quit smoking.  The aim of the STOP Program with AHACs is to determine an effective and appropriate model for AHACs to provide free smoking cessation treatment to community members wanting to quit or reduce smoking cigarettes. 

Trauma-Informed Substance Use Screening and Assessment tools for First Nations, Inuit and Métis’

Developing a treatment referrals and treatment planning tool that is culturally relevant for use in First Nations, Inuit and Métis service systems in Ontario.


The Project Extension of Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) model provides weekly video-conferencing to healthcare providers to present cases to a team of Indigenous health workers, healers and CAMH psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to promote wellness in a culturally-relevant way.  For more information CLICK HERE.

Staged Screening and Assessment

Staged Screening and Assessment (SS&A) is an evidence-based, standardized screening and assessment process currently being implemented across Ontario. AEO is supporting the training and certification of First Nations, Inuit and Métis workers who need to use the SS&A tools in their work.
