Alumni
The SAMI training program was designed to create a new generation of advanced experts focusing on the social determinants of mental disorders and models of causation. This new cadre of researchers from diverse fields such as medicine, health sciences, social work, economics and social sciences are now equipped to conduct multilevel analyses to investigate the interface between biology and environment – knowledge that will ultimately translate into health prevention and promotion initiatives.
Although the SAMI Fellowship was for a 1-year period, the continued learning and collaborations are for much longer. As part of our commitment to SAMI trainees, we strive to continually improve upon initiatives that support an active alumni network and showcase continued performance.
