Why evaluate HEIA?
Evaluate your Health Equity Impact Assessment to see:
- how the HEIA tool informed your decision-making process
- whether it led to less health disparities between population groups, and if so
- how well it improved health equity.
A HEIA evaluation also helps build knowledge in your organization that can support and improve future use of the tool.
HEIA evaluation template
The CAMH Health Equity Office has drafted a HEIA evaluation template. The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has approved this template for piloting. Try it on an evaluation of your HEIA.
