Scoping: An overview of the first stage

Summary
Scoping involves first identifying subpopulations that might be negatively affected by a policy or initiative and, then, learning about the key determinants of health for these subpopulations.

About the Presenter
Dr. Colleen Davison is a social epidemiologist at Queen’s University. She has conducted HEIAs and HEIA trainings related both to public health in Ontario and to industrial development in Mongolia. Colleen will use specific examples from her own HEIA experiences to describe the scoping process.
