OPOP 2018: Innovative Approaches to Outreach

The Ontario Psychiatric Outreach Program (OPOP) is pleased to announce its 20th annual conference, “Innovative Approaches to Outreach.” The OPOP conference is a two day interactive event that brings together the OPOP network of collaborators and key stakeholders.
The annual OPOP conference is an opportunity to participate in shared professional development, thought provoking presentations and interactive discussions to support and challenge each other to provide the highest quality service possible to the areas we serve.
At the 2018 event, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discuss innovative approaches to outreach from a multidisciplinary perspective;
- Share and learn more about mental health outreach work directly with members of the OPOP network of collaborators and local service providers;
- Learn more about the northern region of Ontario, specifically their mental health and addictions needs, challenges and opportunities to serve.
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Continuing Education and Professional Development Office at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. You may claim a maximum of 7.5 hour(s) (credits are automatically calculated).

This event will likely be most useful for: Direct service providers, agency leaders, systems planners, learners interested in outreach, including those with a specific interest in outreach work, team members of OPOP’s partner organizations.

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn by Hilton North Bay at the corporate rate until October 12th, 2018. Use code “OPO” when reserving accommodations for this event.
*Shuttle service between the hotel and conference venue will be provided.
Registration costs include: Day 1 lunch and dinner, Day 2 lunch. Please note, the cocktail reception on Day 1 is cash bar only.
Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant or program. A limited number of rooms are being held for OPOP conference guests at the Hampton Inn at the OPOP corporate rate of $141 until October 5th, unless sold out before that date.
Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

Outreach consultants will receive full reimbursement for accommodations at the CAMH partner hotel, as per your host program’s discretion. Please contact your program administrator for any questions. Consultants must submit original receipts to their host program as per their program’s deadline. Conference presenters must submit all original receipts directly to the OPOP program manager within 30 days of the event.
Attendees can choose to stay elsewhere for the event, but will only be reimbursed up to a maximum of the corporate rate with the CAMH partner hotel for this event.
