The patient with dementia
With the aging population, primary care providers are increasingly challenged to manage older adults with complex chronic illnesses. Dementia is one such disease with particular relevance to primary care providers because it has a major impact on the management of other chronic diseases. Most patients with mild to moderate dementia can be assessed and managed adequately by their primary care providers.
