  • Befrienders. This confidential 24-hour e-mail service for people in distress offers emotional support and the opportunity to connect with someone in 20 languages. The website also lists helplines by country and province/state.
  • Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention. Lists Canadian crisis centres and related organizations and links to other good websites. See in particular The CASP Blueprint for a Canadian National Suicide Prevention Strategy.
  • Centre for Suicide Prevention. Educates people about how to respond to the risk of suicide. Also offers resource toolkits highlighting certain populations.
  • Suicide … Read This First. A website for people who are thinking about suicide. It offers hope, understanding, ways to cope with the emotional pain the person is experiencing and a persuasive argument for delaying suicide and getting help.
